FATHER of cricket:

William Gilbert Grace (popularly known as WG Grace) is regarded as the father of cricket.

He was born on 18th July 1848 near Bristol, England.

Usually batting was considered as unidimensional (batsman always used to hit the ball straight no one ever thought of playing the ball in other parts of the ground), later on WG Grace started hitting the ball all around the ground which gave batsman more room and to play shots.
